I was rear-ended last week and at the time I told the officer I was fine, just a little rattled. Well, now my back is killing me and I've already missed two days of work. The other guy's insurance called me today with a 'generous' offer to cover my car repairs and give me a few hundred bucks for the trouble. It sounds tempting just to get it over with, but a friend told me I should talk to an attorney first. Is it worth the hassle and the cut they take, or should I just sign the papers and move on?
