Hey everyone, I was in a rear-end collision last week (definitely not my fault) and my car is pretty beat up. I've got some nagging neck pain—nothing broken, but it’s really stiff. The other driver's insurance called me today and offered about $2,500 to just 'close the case' right now. It sounds like a quick fix, but my brother is convinced I’m getting lowballed and says I should call a lawyer. I’m worried about losing a huge chunk of the money to legal fees if I don't really need one. Has anyone here actually ended up with more in their pocket after hiring an attorney, or is it usually better to just take the initial check and move on?
