I got hit from behind at a stoplight a few days ago. The other driver's insurance reached out today and offered to pay for my car repairs plus a couple thousand for 'pain and discomfort' if I sign a release right now. My neck is pretty sore, but I haven't seen a specialist yet. Is this a fair move or am I getting lowballed? Not sure if a lawyer will just take a huge cut of what I'm already being offered or if they can actually get me enough to cover future medical stuff.
