I got rear-ended last week and the other guy's insurance is calling me non-stop trying to get me to sign some release forms. My neck is a little stiff but I didn't go to the ER or anything. My friends keep telling me I'm going to get screwed if I don't hire an attorney, but I'm worried a lawyer will just take a huge cut of a small settlement. Has anyone here tried to handle a claim on their own? Did it turn out okay or do I really need professional help?
