My daughter and I were hit by a distracted driver last month. Thankfully we’re okay, but I’ve got about $15k in ER and physical therapy bills. The insurance adjuster just offered a $10k 'final settlement' to cover everything. This doesn't even cover the debt I already have from the hospital. Has anyone successfully negotiated for a higher amount, or is it time to look for a personal injury lawyer? I'm stressed out and don't want to get screwed over.
