I got rear-ended last week and while I'm mostly just sore, the other person's insurance is already calling me every day trying to get me to sign off on a small settlement. My car needs a lot of work and I'm worried about my neck acting up later. Should I just handle it myself or does an attorney actually help in 'smaller' cases like this? I don't want to be that person who sues over everything, but I also don't want to get screwed over.
