Hey guys, looking for some real-world advice. I got rear-ended pretty bad last week (not my fault, the other guy was texting) and his insurance company called me this morning already offering a $4,500 settlement. My neck is still pretty stiff and I haven't even gotten the full estimate for my car repairs yet. Part of me wants to just take the money and be done with it, but my sister thinks I’m being lowballed and should talk to a lawyer first. Has anyone been through this? Is it better to just settle quickly or will I regret it if I have medical issues down the road?
