I was in a wreck about two weeks ago. Wasn't my fault, and the other guy's insurance reached out pretty quick with an offer. It covers my medical bills so far and a little extra, but my back still hurts and I'm worried about future stuff. Everyone says 'get a lawyer' but I don't want them taking a huge cut if I can just settle this myself. Has anyone actually come out ahead after paying the legal fees?
