Hey everyone, I was in a car accident last week and the other driver was totally at fault. Their insurance company called me today offering a settlement for my car and a small amount for my 'troubles.' It sounds okay, but a friend told me I should talk to a lawyer first. I'm not really seriously hurt, just some neck stiffness and a bit of a headache. Am I just going to lose half the money to a lawyer's fees, or do they actually help you get more than what the insurance offers on their own?
