Insurance company is offering a settlement 3 days after my accident, is this too fast?

I got rear-ended on Tuesday and the other driver's insurance already called me with a $2,500 offer. My neck is still pretty stiff and I haven't even seen a specialist yet, just the ER. They're acting like I need to sign today to get the check. Has anyone dealt with this? Should I wait or talk to a lawyer first?
